<a href="http://kansieo.com">Nikon Digital SLR</a>

After 25 years in Photography I left 8 years ago, so I don't know modern equipment really well, but I can give you one or two rules of thumb.

I've seen people buy expensive equipment for the bragging rights and never use the features associated with the high cost. I've also seen people frustrated by the complexities of their cameras. The more expensive the camera, the more photography you'll have to know to use it properly. So unless you're studying for a degree in Visual Arts or planning to go pro, save your cash by buying the cheapest of the three. Knowing both Canon and Nikon and being experienced with SLR's, I know you'll get excellent images with all three, but if you're just an enthusiast, go for ease of operation. And ease of price. Best wishes.

I like and have used Canon camera's for about 35 years and, that is my choice. Just over a year ago I wanted my own DSLR and looked into Nikon & Canon in the 8MP class, then for a few hundred more I could step-up to the 10MP class. I did my research and could not make the switch over to a Nikon and picked the, Canon XTi (about $200 more a XS 8MP).

I all comes down to a personal preference. Check out some of the reviews at I have been doing business with them for some 25 years. B&H Photo have a complete professional staff and a hole lot more.

The D60 is a good camera. I don't see how the D80 is worth the extra $200.
