I had purchased a couple of different, cheaper, units like this on "the bay"... they both had problems with the contacts, switches, etc. and were intermittant - which is a deal-breaker on this kind of a remote.
So I did some surfing on the net and found this one with a nice coiled cord; and a hand held transmitter button w/o a silly little telescoping antenna (that doesn't increase range and only breaks off too easily).
This unit is solid, buttons & switches very positive, easy to use.
It is compoact, reliable, and does exactly what it supposed to do with no fuss. Even comes with a little bag to put it in when not in use.
I couldn't tell for sure from the photos if it had the all-important Sony-Minolta odd-ball hot shoe mount fitting. But it does and fits nicely on the camera's hot shoe mount. |

| WE LOVE THE REMOTE. IT WORKS JUST AS WE HAD HOPED. WE USE IT WITH ALOT OF OUR PHOTOGRAPHY. IT WORKS REALLY WELL ON WINDY FLORIDA DAYS, WHEN WE MUST USE A TRIPOD. |
